Pioneering Courses

The Laser Therapy Centre,a training organisation registered with the national national VET regulator, the Australian
Skills Quality Authority (ASQA),  offers two pioneering light-based therapy courses designed to give health and beauty professionals a competitive edge.

Our courses set benchmarks for training in the safe and effective use of LASER, pulsed light and other light therapy devices.

Unlike some other LASER/pulsed light courses offered in Australia, our three courses are recognised throughout Australia.

Which means that suitably qualified health and beauty professionals can obtain a high level LASER/pulsed light qualification in:
  • Hair removal
  • Vascular, wrinkle, scar and pigmentation treatments (including tattoo removal)
  • Photo rejuvenation
  • Laser therapy integrated with acupuncture techniques for the treatment of dermatological
    and muscular-skeletal conditions.

"World-first" Courses

Two of our courses are believed to be the first of their type in the world, combining leading edge LASER therapy with acupuncture techniques proven through more than 4,000 years of clinical practice.

These two unique courses offer healthcare professionals a new, wholistic way of healing that integrates the best from East and West to treat:
  • Dermatological Conditions: Acne, pigmentation, scars, wrinkles,
post-operative care, stretch marks, cellulite, wound healing, photo
rejuvenation, rosacea, dermatitis, degenerative tissue, eczema, psoriasis,
    etc.
  • Muscular-skeletal Conditions: Sports injuries, arthritis, neck or back pain, pain management, repetitive strain injury, tennis elbow, migraine, whiplash, osteoarthritis, rheumatism, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.
The courses were developed by a team of specialists comprising a Master of Health Science, acupuncture experts, laser/pulsed light practitioners, and accredited trainers holding Diplomas in Training and Assessment Systems.

VET Quality Framework

All three courses are accredited under the Vocational Education and Training Quality Framework. Certificates recognised both nationally and internationally are awarded to individuals who successfully complete our courses.

Moreover, our graduates are eligible to join the Australian Association for Laser Therapy (AALT), which has joined forces with the World Association for Laser Therapy (WALT) and the Florence-based International Academy for Laser Medicine and Surgery to promote light-based therapies.

Very Important Point

Beware of imitators. Our LASER therapy and pulsed light courses were originally accredited in 2003, making them the first nationally recognised courses of their type.

The Statement of Attainment we issue is not a certificate of attendance. It is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and can be used to provide credit standing in any tertiary studies you may wish to undertake in the future.
